Tour of Hamilton Sundstrand
| Hamilton Sundstrand has a long history
as an aerospace supplier in San Diego, from its early days as part of Solar,
then as Turbomach and Sundstrand Power Systems, and now as a part of the
Hamilton Sundstrand Division of United Technologies. They have become
a major supplier of commercial as well as military aircraft auxiliary (small
gas turbine) power in the international market place. They have also
used those technologies to become a leader in the very small turbojet market
for unmanned air vehicles, and that will be the focus of this tour.. |

HIGHLIGHTS:
Only about 8-9 persons toured the facility (there
were some no-shows). Those that missed the tour missed a great opportunity
to see high tech samll turbojets.
