TOUR OF GENERAL ATOMICS AERONAUTICAL SYSTEMS

 

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. is focused on the design and production of remotely operated aircraft.  These state-of-the-art reconnaissance systems are in extensive use by the U.S. Government, including the U.S. Air Force, NASA, Department of Energy, U.S. Army, and the U.S. Navy, as well as by overseas customers.

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. has four facilities in Southern California that are dedicated to the design, development, and manufacture of unmanned aircraft surveillance systems and associated hardware.  The Company’s 650,000 ft2 corporate headquarters is located in Rancho Bernardo.  Engineering, software development, avionics, mechanical manufacturing, composite manufacturing, and administrative support are performed within this location.


The tour is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27, 2006, from 2:30 pm (sharp) to ~4:30 pm.  If you are interested in attending the tour please email Mark Shin at Shinster1@Yahoo.com with the following information:
1.    Your full name.
2.    Your country of citizenship (non US citizens will be allowed).
3.    Your driver’s license number or passport number or military ID number.  You must present ID at the tour.
4.    Name of your employer.
5.    Your title.
6.    Your car license plate number.  This is only required if you park at the GA parking lot.  GA suggests trying to park on the street before parking at the GA site due to limited parking.

This information is required to be submitted to General Atomics prior to the tour.  The tour site is 16761 Via Del Campo Ct., San Diego CA, 92127.  The tour will be limited to 20 people and will last approximately 2 hours.   Please meet at 2:30 pm sharp in the GA main lobby.  No cameras or cell phones will be allowed.
