     Software, Visual FEA/CBT V1.0, Wiley, can be purchased at class for $30 (OPTIONAL, not included in course cost, for description see software details)

Cost:
        $80 for ASME Members;  $30 for ASME Student Members;  $120 for Others
        $20 extra if paid on day of class

Course Content:

1)    Introduction to finite difference method, variational mechanics, and FEA
2)    A little mathematics
3)    FEA, element formulations, energy methods
4)    Examples from dynamics and heat transfer
5)    Homework (those who would like solutions can return for a second meeting)

Education Level:
The course assumes junior/senior level engineering course work is completed with basic understanding of Strength of Materials, Thermodynamics, Materials Science, and Heat Transfer.
