TOUR OF POWAY MIDLAND RAILROAD MUSEUM AND DINNER AT HAMBURGER FACTORY

Poway-Midland Railroad Volunteers, Inc. was founded on February 13, 1991, as a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration, operation, and maintenance of antique railroad equipment in Old Poway Park.  A tour of the Museum is planned for Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 6:00 pm by docent Peter Mihalkanin.  Mr. Mihalkanin will describe a turn-of-the-century live steam train mining engine and various motor cars and street cars and how the museum is restoring them.  A dinner at 7:00 pm at the Hamburger Factory next door at The Old Poway Park follows.

The dinner consists of an entree chosen from the extensive menu which includes ribs, BBQ, steak, pot roast, chicken, seafood, and salads and a dessert.  During dinner, Poway Senior Civil Engineer Jonathan G. Smith will describe the engineering of the locomotive turntable and the city's plans for future expansion of the Museum.

The price is $20 per person.  If you would like to attend, please email Tom Frankie at TFrankie@tns.net by Saturday, December 2.  Please include a phone number.
