TOUR OF KYOCERA AMERICA, INC.
Kyocera
America, Inc. of San Diego was founded in 1971 and is a world
leader in semiconductor packaging products. The San Diego facility is
the world's #1 producer of metallized ceramic packages for Radio
Frequency and Microwave devices, a technology that's essential to
wireless telecommunications. Kyocera America, Inc. also offers a
complete line of multilayer ceramic and organic material packages, for
semiconductors ranging from the latest personal computer chips to ASICs
and mainframe processors.
Kyocera America, Inc. operates a 288,000 sq ft manufacturing center in
San Diego, as well as a network of 11 direct sales offices and five
design centers to create engineering partnerships with customers all
over the world. Kyocera America, Inc. also works closely with Kyocera
Mexicana, S.A. de C.V. of Tijuana, Mexico to meet the broadest possible

A tour of the facility is planned for Wednesday, December 13, 2006,
at 2:00 pm. The tour will cover various process steps and
equipment used in the manufacturing process including printing, firing,
plating, and assembly. If you are interested in

This information is required to be submitted to Kyocera America prior
to the tour. The tour
site is 8611
Balboa Ave., San Diego CA, 92123. The tour
will be limited to 25 people and will last approximately 90
minutes. Please meet at 2:00 pm in the Kyocera main
lobby. Visitor parking is in the front of the building off of
Balboa Ave, on either side of the lobby. No cameras or cell
phones will be allowed. Everyone will be required to sign in and
present ID.
