Engineer's Week Dinner Celebration is going to be held at
6:00 PM, 18 February, 2005 at the Sheraton Hotel.

To honor the engineering community, this meeting will be held on a Friday evening. Nice business attire is recommended.

All of the local engineering societies will be invited including ASME, IEEE, SAME, SWE, PEC, ASHRAE and ASCE (if you know what all these acronyms mean you may be eligible win a free trip to Castle Rock, one way).

Our speaker that night will be Dr. Frank Kreith, a Professor Emeritus from the University of Colorado. Dr Kreith will discuss the myths and realities of fuel cell technology as it relates to personal transportation vehicles.
Dr. Kreith is an ASME Distinguished Speaker and as such the meeting promises to be lively and entertaining. ASME Distinguished Speakers are nationally recognized speakers chosen for both their knowledge and their ability to impart that knowledge in an engaging and entertaining manner.

Our speaker at last year's Engineer's Week dinner was also an ASME Distinguished Speaker who spoke on numerical modeling applications. I know, that sounds about as interesting as watching paint dry but Dr. Levinson turned it into a fascinating presentation - even to non engineers! No small accomplishment. Did you ever hear of a "halo" orbit. Ask me about it at the meeting. We're expecting this year's event to be just as entertaining.

One last note, due to the subject matter's relevance to our current energy situation, Colorado Springs Utilities will be partially sponsoring this event. We would like to personally thank them for their kind support. To find out more about our local utility, please visit www.csu.org.
