November Meeting

A plant tour of Berg Spiral Pipe Corp. is scheduled for Tuesday November 18, 2008.  Those interested should meet at the Berg facility at 5:00 pm.  The facility is located on the property formerly occupied by International Paper Company on Paper Mill Road.  The duration of the tour should be 1 to 1 ½ hours.  Afterward, for those who wish, dinner will be held at the John Word restaurant (formally, “Captain’s Table”) on the Causeway. 

About the Mobile plant of Berg Spiral Pipe facility….

  • Startup date 4th quarter 2008
  • Located in Mobile, Alabama
  • Two-step manufacturing process
  • Sizes 24" OD thru 56" OD
  • Wall thickness 0.315" thru 1.00"
  • Grades API B thru X80, ASTM & AWWA
  • Lengths up to 80 ft.
  • Production capacity - up to 200,000 tons per annum
  • Available transportation by truck, rail, barge and deepwater vessel
  • Full coating capabilities adjacent to pipe mill
  • QA and testing programs comparable to Berg straight seam facility

ASME PDH SEMINAR 2008

The PDH seminar will be held on Friday December 12th in the ballroom of the Student Center at the main campus of the University of South Alabama. There will be 4 sessions, each of 2 hours.  Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
