NOVEMBER MEETINGS
November 13 The Mid-Continent Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers will host its 1st Annual Career Fair on the 13th of November, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Refreshments will be provided by the Mid-Continent Section.
Current companies attending are Aerotech Engineering, Baker Hughes, ENGlobal, Flight Safety, John Zink, Rowland Group, Sunoco, and TD Williamson.

November 20 Tour of Thermal Windows, Noon—1 pm
Thermal Windows is in its 29th year of window design and production. Corporate headquarters and manufacturing operations in Tulsa, Oklahoma, occupy over 235,000 sq.ft. The product line includes thermal barrier aluminum windows, sliding glass doors, terrace doors and vinyl windows. Thermal Windows design products to meet the fenestration needs of residential and commercial markets. Customers include commercial glazing contractors, restoration experts, remodeling contractors, builders and developers, glass shops and window dealers. In-house research, design and testing programs provide quality assurance. All testing is conducted by certified AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association) technicians. In manufacturing, Thermal Windows monitor quality in powder coat, pour and debridge, and insulating glass facilities to maintain control over critical areas of window production.

HELP WANTED!
The ASME Mid-Continent Section needs you! Join the executive committee that plans and operates Section activities. Right now we have an opening for the Secretary position. No experience needed. The Section Executive Committee consists of elected officers and other volunteers. We meet in Room L148 on the lower level of Keplinger Hall of The University of Tulsa of the first Thursday of each non-summer month at 6:00pm. Please come and spend an hour helping us make better meetings and activities that are more representative of member interests. |
