Opportunities to Share Your Expertise

bulletBecome a mentor to a college student.  Join the ASME mentor program.
bulletHelp High School Students compete in the US FIRST contest held yearly.  Contact the ASME Northeast Regional Office for more details on how you can help.
bulletHost a tour at your business.  Our regional student sections are eager to learn what you do.  Send an e-mail to indicating your interest and we'll get the word out.
bulletLong Range (March 2002) - The New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers will once again be hosting Engineering Career Day at Rutgers.  This event is held on the Thursday of Spring Break week (in March) at the Rutgers New Brunswick Campus.  Classrooms are available for a small sponsorship for companies or individuals who would like to share their experiences in engineering with high school juniors.  Visit the NJSPE website or contact the to find out how you and/or your company can participate.

The Jersey Shore Subsection has an informal collaboration with Ocean County College in Toms River.  There are no student sections in the area that we serve.
