Heat Transfer Engineer Location: Lisle, IL Travel Requirements: ~25% INEOS is a rapidly growing manufacturer of petrochemicals, specialty and intermediate chemicals and polymers. Our manufacturing facilities are located at Lima, Ohio, USA; Green Lake, Texas, USA; and Köln, Germany. The commercial business is headquartered in Houston and the technology center and pilot plant facilities are located in Lisle/Naperville, Illinois. The INEOS Nitriles Process Technology and Engineering (PT&E) Group has global responsibility for Nitriles manufacturing site technical support including problem solving, process improvements, major project support, turnaround support, and catalyst sales and licensing technical support. The piping and pressure vessel engineer role is an experienced technical position in the PT&E group reporting to the Manager, PT&E. The incumbent provides global engineering support for heat transfer and incineration equipment to INEOS Nitriles manufacturing sites, INEOS Technologies acrylonitrile licensees, and technology development projects. The successful candidate for this position will hold a BS or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years successful Petrochemical industry work experience in the area of heat transfer and incineration engineering with demonstrated delivery of value. High level failure analysis and problem solving skills as well as expertise in the use of and application of industry standard heat exchanger analysis programs (HTRI & HTFS) are required. A solid understanding and demonstrated knowledgeable application of appropriate external Industry engineering standards including TEMA, B31.1, B31.3, ASME B&PV Code, API-620, API-650, API-653, API-510, API-570, API-579 are required.
