Chapter Sponsor Program

The ASME Delaware Section has a Sponsorship Program. Sponsors are recognized in all six Newsletters and thanked at all events for their sponsorship. Sponsors receive one free advertisement per year. Sponsorship cost is $500 per year.

Funds from the ASME Delaware Section Sponsor Program are use to offset costs for Student Members, provide Awards to Student Members, offset costs for Training Programs for all members, and defray the costs of other activities offered by the Delaware Section.

Complete information on the 2010 Sponsorship Program is available here.

Checks for Sponsorship should be sent as described in the Advertising Program information below.

Advertising Program

ASME Delaware Section has often been asked to advertise open employment positions to our members. This is a service that we want to provide our members, but we also want to be consistent and fair to all requests. We also publish six Newsletters a year, which have space available for advertising. The ASME membership on the Delmarva Peninsula is about 600 members.

Funds from the ASME Delaware Section Advertising Program are use to offset costs for Student Members, provide Awards to Student Members, offset costs for Training Programs for all members, and defray the costs of other activities offered by the Delaware Section.

The following information provides guidance for Advertising:

  • Advertiser provides ready to be inserted copy in electronic format. Accepted file formats are: jpeg, png or tif.
  • Cost:
    • $50 for 1/4 page (page is 81/2 x 11 inches)
    • $100 for 1/2 page
  • Advertisers have the following options:
    • A separate e-mail to members for timely ads, such as an employment ad.
    • Inclusion in our next Newsletter if ad is general and time is not an issue; ads will run in two consecutive Newsletters.
  • Delaware Section Executive Committee administers the advertising and reserves the right to reject ads
  • A Disclaimer will appear at the bottom of the page stating "This is a paid advertisement. The Delaware Section of the ASME posts job offerings as a service to our members. Postings should not be taken as support or endorsement of any kind by the Delaware Section or by the ASME."

Checks for Advertising should be made out to ASME Delaware Section and mailed to: ASME Delaware Section

Regional ASME Landmarks

The ASME Delaware Section graciously recognizes the time and effort of the late Rowan Perkins (past Executive Committee officer for many years); it was primarily because of his persistence and dedication that the Hagley Mills Site was honored as an ASME Landmark in 2002 - the 200th anniversary of the Dupont Company.
