deepwater Perdido Development
Topic:
The presentation will provide an overview
of Shell’s latest production platform installation in the Gulf of Mexico,
the Perdido Development. The Perdido
Development is located approximately 250 miles south of Galveston in 7800’
water depth. It will be the deepest drilling and
production system, it will support the deepest subsea producing well (9600’
water depth), and getting the oil to shore will require the deepest subsea
pipeline tie-in (5000’ water depth).
All the production from the field will be commingled with the gas
and liquid separated through a unique subsea separation system and pumped
to the surface.
